La crise migratoire n’affecte pas que l’Europe. Certains pays méditerranéens africains se trouvent eux-aussi confrontés à une vague d’immigration sub-saharienne sans précédent bien qu’ils ne soient qu’une étape de transit pour des ‘migrants’ décidés à rejoindre le Vieux Continent. Il existe en revanche une différence de taille entre eux et elle concerne la gestion des clandestins. Les pays du Nord de l’Afrique ne font pas dans le sentiment : de ‘migrants’ à demeure chez eux ils ne veulent pas !
La Tunisie et les autres pays de l’Afrique du Nord disent « Non » à l’idée européenne d’implanter les centres d’enregistrement pour ‘migrants’ au-delà des frontières de l’Europe, soit précisément en Afrique méditerranéenne.
Ainsi la semaine dernière, après avoir recueilli le bateau Sarost 5 avec à son bord une quarantaine d’immigrés, leur avoir fourni de la nourriture et des soins, le ministre des Affaires étrangères tunisien Jhinaoui a insisté sur le fait que cette action humanitaire ne devait pas être perçue comme la voie libre pour ouvrir des centres d’accueil pour ‘migrants’ comme le demande l’Europe :
« Nous ne voulons pas être un centre d’accueil pour migrants venant de l’Afrique sub-saharienne. »
« La Tunisie protège ses propres frontières et s’acquitte de ses devoirs de la meilleure façon qui soit. »
Et si l’Europe prenait, sur cette question de la gestion migratoire, exemple sur la Tunisie…
