Si la plupart des immigrés africains tentent de rejoindre l’Europe, certains choisissent tout de même de s’installer dans un autre pays africain. Mais à la différence des gouvernements européens qui sont faibles, les gouvernements africains n’hésitent pas à prendre des mesures pour renvoyer les immigrés illégaux et préserver les intérêts nationaux.
Ainsi le Nigéria se prépare à renvoyer 199 immigrés illégaux togolais. Ces Togolais sont pour l’instant regroupés dans des Centres de Réinstallation à Igando et à Agbowa.
C’est Tunji Bello, le Secrétaire du gouvernement de l’État de Lagos au Nigéria, qui a annoncé le renvoi des immigrés illégaux en expliquant que le gouvernement local ne peut plus continuer de supporter les coûts engendrés par les immigrés illégaux.
Ces immigrés togolais avaient auparavant tenté de s’installer au Benin mais là-aussi ils ont été expulsés.
Les Européens sont décidément d’éternels naïfs. Ils accueillent des immigrés du Nigéria sous prétexte qu’il y aurait la guerre dans ce pays alors que des Togolais cherchent à s’y installer.
