Décidément c’est comme l’histoire d’un serpent qui se mord la queue. La région de Diffa avait été l’objet de plusieurs attentats, notamment le 8 février 2015, et d’autres tentatives ont été déjouées, rapporte jeuneafrique.com.
La région avait alors été déclarée en état d’urgence, alors que les autorités soupçonnent la présence de cellules dormantes de Boko Haram dans la ville. Le ministre de l’Intérieur nigérien, Hassoumi Massasoudou, affirmait au début du mois de juillet que des explosifs avait également été découverts à Diffa, lors de fouilles opérées par les forces de sécurité.
