C’est aujourd’hui, le 29 novembre 2015, que le Mouvement Laïque Québécois récompensait Me Luc Alarie du prix Condorcet-Dessaules pour avoir contribuer au découronnement de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ dans la province de Québec :
« Avocat et conseiller juridique du Mouvement laïque québécois depuis sa fondation, Me Luc Alarie a contribué de façon majeure à la promotion de la laïcité notamment par ses interventions au Tribunal des droits de la personne, à la Cour d’appel du Québec et en Cour suprême du Canada afin de défendre le droit à la liberté de conscience et la séparation de l’État et des religions. L’éclatante victoire du MLQ en Cour suprême, en avril 2015, dans la cause de la prière à Saguenay témoigne de cet engagement exemplaire en faveur de la laïcité. »
