L’idée fait son chemin. La Belgique s’apprête à légaliser l’euthanasie des mineurs. Le projet était resté en commission sénatoriale en juillet à cause des vacances parlementaires malgré le forcing de certains politiques. La loi d’extension de l’euthanasie devrait arriver au Sénat d’ici une dizaine de jours. Jacques Stotchi, sénateur MR (Mouvement Réformateur), s’est totalement déclaré pour : « On ne peut pas rester sourd aux demandes d’un enfant qui malheureusement est atteint d’une maladie grave, qui est bien conscient de la gravité de son mal, et qui est capable d’émettre des souhaits et des désirs. Si on a du cœur, je pense qu’on ne peut pas rester sourd ». On continue de nous jouer la corde sentimentale. On sait déjà que cette extension de la loi passera sans réel problème !
Un dernier sondage révélait que 75% des Belges y étaient favorables. Quatre médecins ont déjà mis en garde contre une « pente glissante ». La loi, au départ, était prévue pour des cas exceptionnels. On a dit la même chose en France pour l’avortement et on connait la réalité aujourd’hui. Si la France venait demain à légaliser l’euthanasie, elle se retrouverait sur la même pente glissante !
