Il s’agit de Romaric Vomitiadé qui a été reconnu coupable de viol d’une mineure de 16 ans avec une amende de 3000.000 frs cfa et de 2.000.000 francs cfa à titre de dommages et intérêts ce 08 avril 2015 par le tribunal de Bangui.
Les faits s’étaient déroulés le 25 janvier 2015 dernier lors d’une mission à yaloké dans l’ouest de la Centrafrique dans le cadre des consultations populaires.
Dès l’annonce du verdict, Madame Catherine Samba Panza, présidente de transition de la République centrafricaine a pris un décret le relevant de ses fonctions de ministre.
Pour la défense, cette décision n’est pas correcte. Le conseil du condamné a promis de faire appel de la décision, mais un de ses avocats a précisé : « Ce qui est certain, nous allons faire appel. Mais pour le moment, nous nous donnons le temps avec le client pour dégager une démarche commune à suivre »
Notons que Romaric Vomitiadé est au gouvernement de transition au nom du mouvement Antibalaka, mouvement avec lequel il ne s’entendait plus et qui demandait d’ailleurs son remplacement au niveau du gouvernement.
