Warren Buffett est considéré comme l’un des trois hommes les plus riches de la planète. Père de trois enfants (dont l’un est compositeur de musique new age), Warren Buffett a déjà fait savoir que ses enfants n’hériteront pas de toute sa fortune qui, pour une grande majorité, sera versée à la Fondation Bill et Melinda Gates.
Le Jewish Telegraph Agency (JTA) a annoncé que le milliardaire Warren Buffett a encouragé les investisseurs à acheter des obligations de l’État d’Israël.
L’Israël Bonds (IB), qui émet les bons d’État israéliens et vend ces obligations d’État à des investisseurs partout dans le monde, affirme que le milliardaire américain a permis de lever près de 200 millions de dollars d’investissements dans l’État israélien.
« Vous pouvez dire aux investisseurs potentiels que j’aurais pris une obligation perpétuelle si vous en aviez offert une. Je pense qu’Israël sera là pour l’éternité », a déclaré Warren Buffett.
« Warren Buffett est un ami d’Israël. En soutenant l’organisation des Obligations d’Israël à travers ces événements et en investissant directement dans les obligations d’Israël lui-même, M. Buffett contribue à faire en sorte que l’État d’Israël continue de prospérer et continuera d’être un modèle d’innovation et de croissance économique pendant des décennies », a déclaré le président de l’Israël Bonds.
Warren Buffett avait réalisé sa toute première acquisition étrangère en 2013 avec l’entreprise israélienne Iscar dont il a acheté les 20% des parts restantes après en avoir déjà acheté 80% en 2006.
