La BBC a présenté le « Projet Petra ». Il s’agit d’un programme de télévision destiné aux enfants de 8 à 14 ans. Huit enfants du même âge seront sélectionnés pour être les « héros » de ce programme télévisé. Ils seront soumis à des défis physiques et mentaux dans le cadre d’un week-end d’école d’espionnage.
A l’issue de ces tests, trois enfants seront choisis pour visiter le quartier général du célèbre service secret britannique MI5, accompagnés des caméras de la BBC. Des caméras de télévision autorisées pour la toute première fois à pénétrer dans les locaux de ce service de renseignements.
La direction du service secret britannique y voit une opportunité de soigner son image. Et d’encourager les vocations d’espion chez les enfants…
