Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley est le nom de l’assassin qui a exécuté deux policiers à Brooklyn samedi dernier.
Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley était un musulman et avait appris l’arabe.
Il est maintenant établi qu’il était aussi un membre d’un gang fondé en prison, le tristement célèbre Black Guerrilla Family (BGF).
Ce gang a la particularité de promouvoir une idéologie, se présentant comme une organisation révolutionnaire marxiste afro-américaine héritière des Black Panthers.
Brinsley se vantait sur les réseaux sociaux de vouloir « tuer des flics » quelques heures avant l’embuscade qui a coûté la vie à deux policiers samedi après-midi alors qu’ils étaient assis dans leur voiture de patrouille.
Il est aussi apparu qu’une lettre avait été envoyée à la police de New York il y a quelques jours avertissant la police que la Black Guerilla Family avait pris la décision de tuer des policiers.
Au moins dix membres de la BGF auraient l’intention d’assassiner des policiers en service.
Les dirigeants syndicaux de la police ont invité à informer les agents du NYPD afin de prendre des précautions supplémentaires, notamment en prenant des munitions supplémentaires et en portant en permanence leur gilet pare-balles.
