Maroc – RFI Afrique signale de nouvelles mesures restrictives prises par le gouvernement marocain à l’égard de l’immigration subsaharienne. Ainsi, les ressortissants du Mali, de Guinée et du Congo-Brazzaville doivent désormais obtenir une « autorisation de voyage électronique » quatre jours avant leur départ. La démarche se fait via internet.

Le ministère marocain des Affaires étrangères qu’il s’agit d’une phase d’expérimentation concernant ces trois pays. En fonction des résultats, la mesure pourrait être étendue aux ressortissants d’autres pays africains.

Le but de la mesure est de connaître les motifs de voyage des ressortissants de ces pays africains, dans un contexte qui fait du Maroc l’une des portes d’entrée principale de l’immigration clandestine vers l’Europe.

La police marocaine a déjà encadré des milliers de déplacements forcés d’immigrés subsahariens du nord vers le sud du royaume. Au cours de cette année 2018, 1.900 embarcations destinées à l’immigration clandestine ont déjà été saisies.
