L’info, relayé par le Lab, tombe alors que la marche contre l’antichristianisme vient de se terminer. Le leader des élus communistes à Paris assure que s’il devait changer un lieu à Paris, ce serait le Sacré-Coeur de Montmartre. Ian Brossat affirme ne pas aimer le symbole de la basilique parisienne : « Le Sacré-Coeur est un symbole que je n’aime pas. Et qui visait à sanctionner d’une certaine manière les communards. Je pense que s’il y a un endroit où on pourrait faire autre chose ça serait le Sacré-Coeur. Je le remplacerais par un espace dédié à la solidarité. Aujourd’hui si on a une idée à porter dans cette ville, c’est la solidarité, la justice sociale. Si Paris doit être exemplaire dans un domaine, c’est la solidarité. »
Au-delà de l’antichristianisme du propos, notons que ce sont les catholiques qui ont été les victimes des communards et non l’inverse.
