Marie-France LORHO, député de Vaucluse, est à l’initiative d’une projection inattendue à l’Assemblée nationale !

Voici son communiqué à ce sujet :

Le massacre vendéen reconnu !

Près de 225 ans après les exactions révolutionnaires de la Convention (1793), les recherches autour des massacres perpétrés à l’encontre des Vendéens sont en voie d’être enfin reconnues. En 1793, ce sont entre un sur quatre à un sur cinq habitants de Vendée qui perdirent la vie en refusant d’abjurer leur foi. Laissé entre les mains du général en chef de l’armée de l’Ouest Turreau, le destin de ces Vendéens refusant l’apostasie mérite un hommage. Avec La Rébellion cachée, Daniel Rabourdin réalise un téléfilm relatant le sacrifice consenti par ces courageux Français pour la défense de leur foi.

A l’heure où, dans ma circonscription, un édifice est érigé pour rendre hommage aux martyrs des tueries du Tribunal Révolutionnaire d’Orange, il me semblait nécessaire d’accorder une attention toute particulière à la sortie de ce film. J’organiserai le 14 décembre prochain à l’Assemblée Nationale une projection visant à faire connaître ce travail aux députés de la Nation.

« La Révolution française […] s’est […] accompagnée de gigantesques « bavures », qu’il est indispensable d’évoquer, ne serait-ce que pour éviter qu’il ne s’en commette de semblables à l’avenir », expliquait il y a près de vingt ans Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie. A l’heure où les déclarations de Patrick Buisson concernant les exactions révolutionnaires réussissent encore à susciter la polémique, il est nécessaire de rappeler que ces tueries participent de l’histoire de France et que son omission est insupportable pour la mémoire des Français assassinés.
