Angoissé par le scrutin de ce 26 mai, Emmanuel Macron avait besoin qu’on lui remonte le moral. Pour cela, il a pu compter sur un phare de la pensée que le monde entier nous envie (défense de rire), Bernard-Henri Lévy en personne. Celui-ci a organisé un déjeuner à l’Elysée mardi dernier. Et y a fait venir un lot de pleureuses, pardon de « grands intellectuels », venus assurer de leur soutien le pauvre Macron chargé de briser la « marée populiste ».
De quels « grands intellectuels » s’agissait-il ? David Grossman, Agnes Heller, Anne Applebaum, Jens Christian Grondahl, Rob Riemen, Claudio Magris, Peter Schneider, Abdulah Sidran, Adam Zagajewski, Fernando Savater et Simon Schama. De quoi garantir un menu casher mais pas vraiment de quoi assurer un bouleversement au sein de l’opinion publique ni changer les intentions de vote des électeurs français… D’ailleurs, le déjeuner en question n’a rencontré que peu d’écho parmi les médias français et c’est par un journal italien que nous en avons pris connaissance en attendant le résultat des urnes de ce dimanche.
