Benoit Hamon, Ministre de l’Education nationale, a promis à Roger Cukierman, président du CRIF, la nomination prochaine d’un Conseiller sur les questions de discriminations, de racisme et d’antisémitisme au sein de son cabinet. L’entretien s’est déroulé le lundi 19 mai 2014. Le ministre Benoit Hamon recevait une délégation du CRIF composée de Roger Cukierman, Robert Ejnes et Jean-François Bensahel. L’entretien a porté essentiellement sur l’antisémitisme à l’école.
Le CRIF a demandé une application plus rigoureuse des lois contre l’antisémitisme, le racisme et les discriminations au sein de l’enseignement public, souhaitant que les chefs d’établissement scolaire dénoncent tout ce qui pourrait être considéré comme incitation aux discriminations, préjugés et actes à caractère raciste, antisémite ou homophobe. Le CRIF a proposé à ce sujet une formation à la lutte contre les comportements et discours discriminatoires, à dispenser aux directeurs d’écoles primaires.
Selon le communiqué du CRIF, “le Ministre a apporté son soutien à ces propositions et a annoncé la nomination prochaine d’un Conseiller sur les questions de discriminations, de racisme et d’antisémitisme au sein de son cabinet. Il a invité le CRIF, au travers de sa Commission Education, à participer et à faire des propositions dans ces dossiers ainsi que dans la refonte en cours des programmes éducatifs.”
Précisons que Benoit Hamon fait partie des socialistes qui fréquentent les dîners du CRIF.
