Le banquier Emmanuel Goldstein, cadre dirigeant chez Morgan Stanley, a intenté une action en justice contre la journaliste Raphaëlle Bacqué et son éditeur Grasset pour le livre intitulé Richie.
Cet ouvrage est une sorte de biographie de Richard Descoings, ex-directeur de Sciences-Po, passé au Conseil d’Etat et à l’association Aides, notoirement militant LGBT et décédé en 2012 à New York.
Or le livre Richie fait état des liens particuliers qui ont uni Richard Descoings et Emmanuel Goldstein, lui-même également professeur à Sciences-Po. Ce dernier estime que ce livre porte «atteinte à l’intimité de sa vie privée par la divulgation de son orientation sexuelle ainsi que de son appartenance à la franc-maçonnerie».
Emmanuel Goldstein est aussi membre du conseil scientifique de la Fondation pour l’innovation politique (Fondapol)
Raphaëlle Bacqué, journaliste au Monde et auteur du livre Richie se dit «surprise» et «pas du tout inquiète» et dit à propos d’Emmanuel Goldstein : «Quand on a été président de l’association des étudiants gays de France, ce qui est élément public, ça me paraît très contradictoire.» On se souviendra également qu’en mai 2015, le journal Le Monde avait décrit, sans susciter de réactions, les soirées « goldies » du banquier Emmanuel Goldstein, « où se retrouve deux fois par an, autour d’un buffet au champagne, l’élite homosexuelle de la capitale« .
La seule controverse née de l’article était liée au fait que l’auteur avait signalé que Laurent Wauquiez, secrétaire général des Républicains (autrefois UMP) et proche de la Manif pour Tous, avait participé à l’une de ces soirées…
L’audience en référé a été fixée le mardi 8 septembre à 11h30 devant le tribunal de grande instance de Paris.
