Le gouvernement autrichien promet d’augmenter les expulsions des migrants qui n’ont pas reçu le statut de réfugié, en particulier ceux provenant du Maroc, de la Tunisie et de l’Algérie, pays qui figurent dans la liste des pays considérés comme sûrs. Dans la liste, ont été également ajoutés la Géorgie, la Mongolie et le Ghana.
« Si on décide que la personne ne reçoit pas l’asile et doit retourner dans son pays, cela doit être appliqué. Nous avons accordé le feu vert pour l’utilisation des avions Hercule et la semaine prochaine, notre ministère mettra les Hercule à disposition du ministère de l’Intérieur« , a annoncé le Ministre de la Défense, Hans Peter Doskozil, dans une déclaration à la télévision publique ORF.
Précisons que l’Autriche offrira 500 euros aux étrangers illégaux auxquels est refusé l’asile et qui acceptent le rapatriement.
En 2015, 8,365 immigrés ont été rapatriés alors que le nombre total de demandes d’asile approche les 90.000. A ce stade, les rapatriements concernent donc moins d’un demandeur d’asile sur dix. Le problème est donc loin d’être résolu.
