L’Autriche veut adopter de nouvelles règles concernant la place de l’islam et des musulmans dans le pays. Mercredi prochain, le Parlement autrichien sera invité à voter une révision de la vieille loi de 1912 concernant l’islam.
Le projet de loi du gouvernement autrichien prévoit une interdiction de financement des organisations musulmanes et des mosquées par l’étranger. La primauté du droit constitutionnel sur la religion est également notifiée dans le projet de loi.
Le projet de loi arrive dans un contexte de suspicion générale à propos des 600.000 musulmans vivant en république autrichienne.
Les associations musulmanes ont annoncé qu’elles combattraient ce projet de loi.
