Avant de devenir ministre, l’escrimeuse Laura Flessel avait déjà contribué à ce que Paris accueille les Gay Games (l’équivalent des jeux olympiques pour sportifs LGBT) en 2018, acceptant d’être la marraine de ce rendez-vous sportif communautariste pour homosexuels et lesbiennes.
A peine devenue nouvelle ministre des Sports, elle a réservé sa première visite officielle vendredi à l’association LGBT Le Refuge.
« Dans la vie de tous les jours et dans le milieu du sport, il faut comprendre et faire des passerelles. Le but, c’est d’amener plus de tolérance et d’arrêter ces clichés, de ne pas écouter des xénophobes ou des homophobes« , a déclaré Laura Flessel. Le ton est donné.
« Vous allez le comprendre, je ne suis pas qu’une simple sportive« , a averti Laura Flessel.
