L’attaque au couteau menée vendredi à Londres est très instructive.
La méthode est devenue tristement banale : un individu armé d’un couteau a poignardé plusieurs personnes qui ont croisé son chemin. Deux personnes sont mortes, d’autres ont été blessées.
Des passants courageux ont poursuivi l’individu, l’ont immobilisé et désarmé jusqu’à l’arrivée de la police. Ces passants s’étant écartés pour laisser la police prendre les choses en main, le meurtrier a voulu se relever, laissant entrevoir une ceinture d’explosifs. Les policiers ont alors abattu le terroriste. Les démineurs ont ensuite constaté que la ceinture d’explosifs était fausse.
Mais c’est l’identité du terroriste qui est révélatrice. Cet homme avait déjà été condamné à 16 ans de prison pour terrorisme. Mais cela n’a pas empêché cet homme de se retrouver déjà en liberté conditionnelle depuis un an, avec un simple bracelet électronique au pied. Et il avait demandé de pouvoir se déplacer pour se rendre à une conférence sur la réinsertion des délinquants.
L’attaque terroriste au couteau de London Bridge a donc été commise par un terroriste multirécidiviste. Un homme qui, en toute logique, devait se trouver derrière des barreaux. Mais au Royaume-Uni comme dans toute l’Europe de l’Ouest, on dorlote les terroristes, on veille sur leurs « droits », on leur accorde des remises de peine,… On fait même revenir des barbares de l’Etat Islamique partis combattre en Syrie et qui, arrêtés là-bas, ont retrouvé un très hypocrite désir de rentrer en cette Europe qu’ils détestent tant.
