Nous vous parlions récemment des déboires du gouvernement ukrainien dans sa répression armée des insurgés prorusses du sud-est du pays. Nous vous rapportions qu’une soixantaine de militaires de la 25ème brigade aéroportée basée à Dniepropetrovsk avaient fait défection et rallié leurs concitoyens russophones « anti-Maïdan ».
Le président par intérim Alexandre Tourtchinov n’a guère apprécié la nouvelle (on le comprend) et craignant sans doute que la suite des événements lui amène d’autres camouflets, il a tout simplement ordonné la dissolution de la brigade en question, accusant ces militaires réfractaires à déclencher une guerre civile de « poltronnerie ».
Cette 25ème brigade de Dniepropetrovsk étant la seule aéroportée de l’armée ukrainienne, celle-ci n’a désormais plus d’unités parachutistes opérationnelles. Ou comment un pays de plus de 40 millions d’habitants n’a plus de troupes aéroportées en ordre de marche…
