Au cours d’une interview pour la Télévision suisse-romande, Mgr Jean-Clément Jeanbart, archevêque d’Alep, a salué jeudi soir l’intervention militaire russe en Syrie.
Mgr Jean-Clément Jeanbart a déclaré que cette intervention militaire russe « redonnait espoir » aux chrétiens de son pays.
L’archevêque d’Alep a remercié Vladimir Poutine, qui « sert la cause des chrétiens ».
Mgr Jeanbart constate « un regain de confiance » chez les chrétiens depuis cette intervention. Vladimir Poutine « est en train de résoudre un problème et de nous sortir d’une situation inextricable », a-t-il dit.
L’archevêque d’Alep a ajouté ne pas comprendre « la position extrémiste » de la France qui refuse de traiter avec Bachar el-Assad.
