Souvenons-nous de ces images d’un François Hollande en visite officielle en Arabie saoudite, paradant le cimeterre à la main, à côté d’un porte-étendard. La bannière à la couleur verte de l’islam, elle aussi accompagnée du cimeterre, enveloppait les épaules du président de la république française…
Pourtant, l’Arabie saoudite n’est pas notre alliée. Un nouvel élément vient dramatiquement le rappeler.
Quelque 28 personnes ont été arrêtées dans la ville de Khafji, vendredi dernier, par les islamistes de la Commission pour la promotion de la vertu et la prévention du vice dans le cadre d’un raid antichrétien mené dans la maison d’un ressortissant indien.
Un article publié sur le site web d’information en langue arabe Akhbar 24 a affirmé que les arrestations font suite à une enquête menée par la police religieuse du royaume saoudien à propos d’une « église à domicile ».
Selon la Saudi Gazette, il y aurait des enfants parmi les 28 personnes arrêtées.
L’Arabie saoudite est championne du double langage. En Occident, elle prêche le dialogue inter-religieux de façon à faire admettre la construction de mosquées financées par ses soins. Le roi Abdullah a donc financé un Centre international consacré au dialogue inter-religieux et interculturel basé à Vienne. Et pendant ce temps, la police religieuse de l’Arabie saoudite continue à interdire toute trace du christianisme sur son territoire.
D’autre part, ce n’est plus un secret pour personne, l’Arabie saoudite a contribué au financement des djihadistes de l’Etat Islamique. Mais la même Arabie saoudite prétendrait maintenant participer à une coalition internationale contre l’Etat Islamique.
Combien de temps va-t-on encore se moquer ainsi du monde ?
