Les parents des enfants du collège Armand Coussens de Saint-Ambroix, dans le Gard, ont été très surpris de constater que l’appel à la prière des musulmans était enseigné au cours de musique de l’établissement scolaire.
Un document remis aux élèves dans le cadre du cours de musique présente d’un côté la partition d’un gospel, « Dans l’église de harlem », et de l’autre, l’appel à la prière des musulmans.
» On s’est demandé ce que ça venait faire en cours de musique. », déclarent à la presse locale Peggy et Yannick, dont le fils est en 5e dans ce collège. Ils ont donc réclamé des explications au principal, Mohamed Bouta.
Le rectorat s’est déjà saisi de l’affaire. « Cette démarche d’analyse et de réflexion menée en classe contribue à construire le raisonnement des élèves », communique le rectorat.
