L’antichristianisme se niche parfois dans les détails. Le club de football Real Madrid vient de faire disparaître la croix qui surmonte la couronne de son logo. Ce « lifting » antichrétien est la conséquence d’un partenariat avec la Banque Nationale d’Abou Dhabi. Selon le quotidien Marca, il s’agit de ne pas froisser les musulmans.
Le président du Real Madrid avait annoncé en septembre 2014 un partenariat de trois ans entre son club et la Banque Nationale d’Abou Dhabi. Mais cet apport d’argent peut s’accompagner de conséquences inattendues.
Le journal Marca a observé que les documents présentés lors de l’annonce officielle de ce partenariat comportent une discrète mais significative modification au logo du Real Madrid : la croix catholique qui surmontait la couronne a disparu. Le quotidien affirme que cette croix ornant habituellement la couronne, a été retirée « afin de ne pas offenser ou mettre mal à l’aise les clients musulmans. »
Le Real Madrid assure que ce changement ne concerne que les documents destinés aux Emirats Arabes et que le logo restera inchangé en Europe. Il n’empêche qu’un premier pas est franchi.
Le Real Madrid n’est pas le seul club de football a consentir à chasser la croix catholique pour plaire à des investisseurs musulmans. Le Football Club de Barcelone en est un autre exemple.
