Europe 1 annonce ce 5 avril 2018 :
« Jean-Vincent Placé a été interpellé cette nuit par la police dans le quartier latin à Paris, a appris Europe 1. L’ancien secrétaire d’État, ivre, est soupçonné d’avoir importuné des femmes dans un bar de la rue Princesse, dans le quartier latin, vers 2 heures du matin. Il s’en est pris verbalement à une femme qui refusait de danser avec lui contre rémunération. Puis il a proféré des propos racistes à l’encontre du videur de l’établissement qui intervenait pour calmer la situation.
Lors de son arrestation, il aurait proféré des insultes à caractère raciste à l’encontre des policiers de la BAC. L’outrage à agent a été retenu contre lui, justifiant son placement en garde à vue au commissariat du 5ème arrondissement où il a passé la nuit. Son taux d’alcoolémie a été mesuré à 2,32 g. »
Voici le contenu de ses propos racistes, rapporté par BFM TV :
« C’est le portier du bar qui a prévenu la police. Il a dû faire sortir de la salle Jean-Vincent Placé car il « a traité une femme de sale pute ». Au cours de son éviction de l’établissement, Jean-Vincent Placé aurait, selon le portier, dit à ce dernier : « On n’est pas au Maghreb ici. Je vais te renvoyer en Afrique moi. Tu vas voir ! » »
