Syrie – Le Parlement syrien a adopté le 13 février 2020, à l’unanimité, une résolution reconnaissant et condamnant le génocide commis par l’Etat ottoman contre les Arméniens au début du 20e siècle.
Cette résolution a aussi condamné toute tentative menée par n’importe quelle partie pour ignorer ce génocide et en déformer la réalité, affirmant que ce crime est le plus abominable commis contre l’humanité.
La résolution exprime la pleine sympathie avec le peuple arménien ami, et confirme que les Arméniens, les Syriaques et les Assyriens avaient été les victimes d’une liquidation ethnique systématique et de massacres collectifs commis par les Ottomans à l’époque.
Dans une allocution à cette occasion, M. Sabagh, président de l’Assemblée parlementaire syrienne, a indiqué que les Syriens connaissent plus que les autres ce genre de crime, vu qu’ils font la cible du terrorisme horrible et des crimes commis par le même criminel.
Il a appelé tous les pays du monde à condamner le génocide et à ne pas l’ignorer.
