Avec le Brexit, arrive une nouvelle claque pour Bruxelles : la Suisse envoie un signal fort à l’Union Européenne : « Il est temps de tourner la page. »
La Suisse doit officiellement retirer sa demande d’adhésion à l’UE, déposée il y a 22 ans. Les Conseil des États, la chambre haute du parlement suisse, a approuvé une motion allant dans ce sens de Lukas Reimann, du parti de droite Udc, déjà reçue par le Conseil National (la chambre basse) en mars. Une action qui arrive à quelques jours du référendum sur le Brexit et qui pourrait affaiblir encore plus l’UE.
La demande de l’adhésion de la Suisse est considérée dépassée et ne figure pas parmi les objectifs de la Confédération, mais pour ceux qui sont favorables à cette motion il s’agit d’envoyer un signal clair et fort au peuple qui dans sa majorité est hostile à une adhésion. La motion a été approuvée par 27 voix pour, 13 contre et deux abstentions. « Pour différents orateurs favorables à cette action parlementaire, écrit l’Agence de Presse Suisse, ATS, est arrivé le temps de tourner la page, de rompre avec le passé, afin que ce problème de la demande d’adhésion puisse être archivé. »
Une façon pour la Suisse de dire non à Bruxelles et à sa politique migratoire !
