Une opération anti-drogue à Marseille s’est soldée par l’interpellation de 33 personnes dont le chauffeur de Samia Ghali.
L’opération policière a aussi permis la saisie d’armes de différents types et de plusieurs kilos de cannabis.
Ce sont près de 400 policiers, des hommes de la police judiciaire marseillaise, du Raid et des CRS qui ont mené ce coup de filet au petit matin.
Le ministre Bernard Cazeneuve a déclaré : « Ce sont ces trafics (…) qui alimentent les filières qui alimentent d’autres activités de nature à porter gravement atteinte à l’ordre public, je pense notamment aux activités terroristes. Il faut que l’on sache que j’ai donné instruction aux services pour que, partout sur le territoire national, les trafics de drogue soient combattus et les réseaux démantelés ».
Le chauffeur de Samia Ghali a été placé en garde à vue.
Samia Ghali, maire socialiste du 8e secteur marseillais a affirmé : « Si, toutefois, il devait être confirmé son implication à quelque niveau que ce soit, je serais intransigeante et sans aucune concession. Je suis entrée en politique à l’âge de 17 ans pour lutter contre le fléau de la drogue. C’est le combat de toute ma vie et les raisons de mon engagement. Il ne pourrait y avoir pour moi plus grande trahison et j’en tirerais évidemment toutes les conséquences ».
