Faute d’argent, l’Education nationale change les règles concernant l’étude du breton et du corse dans les écoles primaires.
Un dispositif avait été mis en place en 2000 prévoyant « une initiation » à la langue régionale « dans les trois cycles de l’école primaire à l’exception des élèves de petite section. Cette initiation se fait sur la demande de l’école et est intégrée à son projet. Les cours, d’une durée d’une heure, se déroulent une fois par semaine sur le temps scolaire. »
En Bretagne, 8000 enfants en bénéficient. Mais ce dispositif, aujourd’hui bien rôdé, risque d’être mis à mal par l’application d’une nouvelle circulaire. À partir de la rentrée 2020, l’Inspection académique a signalé qu’il ne sera plus possible de faire d’initiation au breton à partir du CP. Les écoles élémentaires qui souhaiteraient poursuivre cette initiation au breton devront le faire sur le temps d’enseignement des langues étrangères.
Pour les associations, le résultat est évident :
« Cela induit une mise en concurrence du breton et des langues étrangères, là où il y avait jusqu’à présent une co-existence. Et il y a fort à parier que cette concurrence se fera au bénéfice des langues étrangères, l’anglais pour l’immense majorité des cas. »
Et pendant ce temps-là, la République paie la Tunisie et l’Algérie pour des professeurs d’arabe alors qu’elle ne peut pas en plus payer des profs de bretons et de corse. L’Etat est devenu un instrument de guerre contre la France, les Français, et leur identité.
