Le ministère de l’Education de la région d’Omsk (Sibérie) a publié sur son site une lettre adressée aux responsables d’écoles pour leur demander de ne pas fêter Halloween qui fait la « promotion de l’extrémisme » auprès des enfants.

Célébrer Halloween a des « conséquences négatives » en raison de sa « propagande du culte de la mort », a-t-il ajouté.

L’institution a indiqué avoir réagi après avoir été avertie par l’Assemblée régionale des parents d’élèves, un groupe de pression de parents chrétiens.

Un porte-parole de l’Eglise orthodoxe russe, Vsevolod Tchapline, a de son côté mis en garde contre le caractère occulte des célébrations d’Halloween.

« Les gens pensent seulement à la distraction inoffensive et agréable. Mais les esprits du démon pensent différemment », a-t-il déclaré à l’agence Ria Novosti.
