La firme Benetton depuis des décennies nous avait habitué aux campagnes publicitaires engagées à gauche toute…
La dernière affiche publicitaire provocatrice fait polémique : elle photographie des migrants de SOS Méditerranée, l’ONG de l’Aquarius. D’un côté il y a donc ceux qui déclarent qu’ils n’achèteront plus aucun tee-shirt « United Color » parce que trop immigrationniste ; de l’autre il y a ceux qui accusent Benetton d’utiliser le drame de l’immigration pour gagner de l’argent.
La photographie a été prise par Kenny Karpov, volontaire pour SOS Méditerranée : l’on voit un membre de l’ONG lancer des gilets de sauvetage aux migrants en route pour l’Europe sur un rafiot.
Le secrétaire national de la Ligue, Toni Da Re, sans parler de boycottage, a été cependant clair :
« Nous n’achèterons jamais plus un seul tee-shirt Benetton. Les choses sont ainsi, Toscani (le célèbre concepteur de la publicité, ndlr) est notre indicateur le plus juste : plus il sera furieux, plus nous serons certains d’être sur la bonne voie. »
Un autre homme politique a fait remarquer l’hypocrisie du groupe Benetton :
« Je voudrais savoir si les employés de Benetton à l’étranger, dans les pays où il a délocalisé, sont payés comme les Italiens et pourquoi il a favorisé des grandes productions en-dehors de nos frontières. Je dis à Benetton et à Toscani que s’ils veulent faire de la politique ils doivent uniquement être candidats et mettre leur visage. Trop facile autrement : parce que tu as quatre sous, tu t’achètes une page de journal. »
