Une étude récente menée conjointement par l’Insee (Institut national de la statistique et des études économiques) et l’Institut d’aménagement et d’urbanisme d’Ile-de-France (IAU) démontre que la population immigrée a doublé dans le Val-d’Oise en 30 ans.
En 1982, le département comptait 115.000 personnes d’origine étrangère nées à l’étranger contre 216.000 en 2013. Le Val-d’Oise est ainsi le département de grande couronne qui a connu la plus forte progression de la population immigrée ces 30 dernières années. Celle-ci représente 18,1 % de la population du département (contre 18,5 % pour la région).
Ces chiffres ne tiennent bien sûr compte que de l’immigration officielle. N’y sont pas non plus inclus les personnes d’origine étrangère nées en France.
