Après avoir décrété l’état d’urgence et déployé l’armée, la République de Macédoine a commencé à bloquer ses frontières. La police anti-émeute macédonienne a repoussé aujourd’hui des milliers d’immigrés illégaux tentant de franchir la frontière. Pour y arriver, la police a été forcée d’utiliser des gaz lacrymogènes et des grenades flash aveuglantes.
Environ 3.000 migrants ont essayé à différentes reprises de franchir la frontière de la Grèce vers la Macédoine depuis la nuit dernière.
Ces immigrés n’ont pas l’intention de rester en Macédoine, mais de passer aussi vite que possible ensuite en Serbie puis en Hongrie.
Jusqu’à présent, la frontière était poreuse, avec seulement quelques patrouilles des deux côtés.
