Un tribunal allemand a jugé que les islamistes patrouillant dans les rues de Wuppertal (Rhénanie du Nord-Westphalie) avec des gilets fluos portant l’inscription « Police de la sharia » ne violaient pas la loi, et ne pouvaient pas être poursuivis.
Une procédure en appel est annoncée mais, dans l’immédiat, les neuf personnes contre lesquelles une plainte avait été déposée en septembre 2014 pour avoir « conseillé » à des gens (principalement des musulmans) à la sortie de bars, discothèques et salles de jeux, de ne pas adopter des « coutumes occidentales » peuvent continuer leurs patrouilles.
Le groupe est connu pour avoir revendiqué certains quartiers comme « zone sous contrôle de la charia ».
Le tribunal a considéré que les « recommandations » de cette police de la sharia ne violent pas la loi concernant le port d’uniformes, ni concernant les manifestations publiques.
Parmi les militants salafistes de cette « police de la sharia », il y a Sven Lau, un Allemand privé de passeport après un voyage en Syrie où il était, selon ses dires, en « mission humanitaire » . malgré ses photos téléchargées le montrant dans un tank ou avec un fusil d’assaut Kalachnikov dans les mains. Il a été en prison et est soupçonné d’être le recruteur de jeunes musulmans pour le djihadisme en Syrie.
Les patrouilles de la « police de la sharia » dans Wuppertal avaient été critiquées par le Conseil central musulman d’Allemagne les qualifiant de «préjudiciables pour les musulmans » mais selon la justice allemande, il n’y a rien de punissable.
