La gestation pour autrui (GPA) ? Le gouvernement vous a pourtant répété qu’il n’en serait pas question, que ce n’était pas à l’ordre du jour. Il n’empêche que tout le monde en débat, y compris au sein même de la gauche au pouvoir.
D’un côté, il y a ceux qui ont déjà, à un moment ou l’autre, pris position publique en faveur de la GPA : Pierre Bergé, bien sûr, grand financier de la gauche, mais aussi Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, Aurélie Filipetti, Alain Vidalies,…
En face, ils sont de plus en plus nombreux à s’exprimer, preuve que le sujet est bien d’actualité. En juillet, ils ont signé un appel dans Libération. On y retrouvait Lionel Jospin (ancien premier ministre), Jacques Delors (ex-président de la Commission européenne), Bernard Poignant (conseiller du président), Yvette Roudy (ancien ministre),… Depuis, les déclarations se multiplient.
« Il ne faut pas reculer d’un millimètre dans ce combat contre la marchandisation du corps. On ne peut pas acheter le ventre d’une femme et un enfant. Reconnaître les enfants nés d’une mère porteuse à l’état civil, c’est dire que cet achat est acceptable. » (Marie-Georges Buffet, député Gauche Démocrate et Républicaine)
« La GPA, c’est la fabrication d’un enfant, la marchandisation du corps de la femme, celle du bébé. La pratique existe mais cela n’est pas une raison pour la légitimer. » (Catherine Tasca, sénatrice PS, ex-ministre)
« La GPA « éthique », je n’y crois pas. Cela veut seulement dire que le contrat de la mère porteuse est bien rédigé et qu’on sait exactement combien elle va gagner. » (Marie-Georges Buffet)
Un collectif de gauche demande à Laurence Rossignol de renforcer le « dispositif législatif de lutte contre la prospection de clients français par les agences de mères porteuses« .
Quant à José Bové, eurodéputé écologiste, il demande de sanctionner ces sites qui viennent en France pour « chercher le client« .
Ceci dit, qu’on ne s’y trompe pas, tout ce petit monde n’a aucune intention de se rapprocher de la Manif pour Tous.
« Il n’y aura pas l’ombre d’un rapprochement avec ce mouvement. (…) Droite et gauche, ce n’est pas pareil. Qu’ils mènent leur danse. L’important, ce n’est pas de faire du bruit mais de trouver des solutions et de convaincre. » (Catherine Tasca, sénatrice PS)
