E. d’Avesne est le pseudonyme de Frédéric Rouvier (1851-1925), prêtre, qui fut l’auteur de plusieurs livres et brochures politiques et religieuses. Il était aussi un grand spécialiste des questions liées à la franc-maçonnerie.
Gambini, Vénérable de la loge Parfaite Sincérité de Marseille, avait avoué que » le Frère Jules Ferry poursuivait une œuvre essentiellement maçonnique « . Jules Ferry, père de l’école laïque, n’avait fait qu’appliquer le programme de la secte maçonnique, comme nous le montre ce livre.
L’auteur ne s’arrête pas aux seuls projets Ferry, qui ne sont après tout qu’un exemple parmi d’autres des méfaits des loges; il va plus loin et montre comment et pourquoi la franc-maçonnerie commande la politique, veut s’emparer de la jeunesse et détruire le christianisme. Il en fait un historique détaillé avec moult citations et documents à l’appui.
