Maurice Talmeyr (1850-1931), écrivain et journaliste, a collaboré à la rédaction de nombreux quotidiens français parmi lesquels Le Figaro et La Croix à une époque où ces journaux étaient bien éloignés de la ligne rédactionnelle qu’on y trouve aujourd’hui. Membre de la Ligue française anti-maçonnique, Maurice Talmeyr a beaucoup œuvré à démontrer que la Révolution française était le fruit d’une conspiration maçonnique. C’est l’objet de ce petit livre.
La Franc-Maçonnerie et la révolution française est la mise en forme écrite d’une conférence que Maurice Talmeyr a fréquemment prononcée sur ce sujet. Avec clarté et sur un ton incisif, Maurice Talmeyr met en évidence comment la secte maçonnique a fomenté la révolution française et souligne que la mise à mort de Louis XVI fut décidée dix ans à l’avance lors d’une tenue illuministe de Wilhelmsbad.
