La FIFA, la plus haute institution du football mondial, a censuré les images montrant l’inscription « 100% Jésus » sur le bandeau de la star brésilienne Neymar, dans la vidéo du gala Ballon d’Or diffusée le 11 Janvier à Zurich ( Suisse).
Pour présenter Neymar, l’un des finalistes pour le Ballon d’Or qui finalement a été accordé à l’Argentin Lionel Messi (le cinquième de sa carrière), la FIFA a publié un extrait de la vidéo du match du FC Barcelone / Juventus en finale de la Ligue des Champions qui se jouait à Berlin le 6 juin. Dans la vidéo (à partir de la 35’’) on peut voir Neymar porter un bandeau blanc dont les mots «100% Jésus » ont été censurés par la FIFA.
Ainsi, la FIFA rejoint la vague laïciste qui vise à effacer toute trace du christianisme. Cette censure a suscité plusieurs protestations ainsi qu’une pétition demandant des excuses officielles de la FIFA.
La FIFA prétend qu’elle a fait modifier les images et effacer le texte du bandeau « par respect ». Respect de qui, de quoi ? Certainement pas de la vérité, ni des convictions du joueur de foot.
Rappelons que le joueur est un chrétien pratiquant, comme beaucoup de ses compatriotes brésiliens.
