Dans un communiqué, la Chambre de commerce et d’industrie franco-russe (CCIFR) a déclaré regretter « vivement » les nouvelles sanctions prises par l’Union Européenne et les USA contre la Russie. Elle tient à réaffirmer sa confiance dans l’action diplomatique pour résoudre les conflits politiques: « Sur un plan économique, le maintien et le développement de la coopération fructueuse entre les entreprises russes et occidentales, et notamment françaises, constitue le meilleur socle d’une relation constructive avec la Russie. »
Elle se veut positive pour l’avenir: « Nous affirmons, aujourd’hui comme depuis le tout début de la crise ukrainienne, notre vigoureux soutien à la position réaliste des autorités françaises vis-à-vis de leur partenaire russe, et notre confiance dans un véritable dialogue entre l’Union européenne et la Russie, indispensable à la restauration de la stabilité et de la confiance que chacun appelle de ses vœux. »
