Jusqu’au 28 septembre, venez découvrir à la Maison des Patrimoines, l’exposition de l’APPAC La Virée de Galerne – 18 octobre – 23 décembre 1793 présentant cet épisode des Guerres de Vendée qui a marqué l’histoire de notre territoire.
À l’automne 1793, l’Armée catholique et royale de Vendée traverse le Maine, la Bretagne et la Normandie dans l’objectif de rejoindre un port de la Manche, Granville et de s’allier les Anglais et les émigrés. Après l’échec de Granville c’est le retour impossible vers la Vendée. Clou de la visite de cette exposition, la présentation d’un bas-relief réalisé en 1920 par P. L. d’Hallencourt représentant la bataille d’Antrain. Cette pièce de collection a été généreusement prêtée par Jean-Paul Leray et la MSTA (Maison du souvenir du Territoire Antrainais).
Pour la visite de l’exposition, rendez-vous à la Maison des patrimoines, 1 rue de Pontorson à Antrain, du lundi au vendredi de 9h à 12h et de 14h30 à 17h.
