Mercredi 2 novembre a commencé l’évacuation des 1500 mineurs qui vivent dans la jungle de Calais. Plus de 70 bus ont été mis à disposition. Le premier est parti pour le sud de la France, direction Carcassonne, vers un des nombreux centres d’accueil destinés à recevoir les clandestins.
Selon la préfecture de Calais les mineurs peuvent décider de leurs camarades de voyage mais devront par la suite rester dans un des 60 centres réservés pour les moins de 18 ans. La majorité de ces jeunes voudraient rejoindre la Grande-Bretagne qui examine leur demande. Après l’évacuation des mineurs qui s’est terminée hier soir, restent encore à Calais 400 femmes et enfants à reloger.
Ensuite commencera la destruction de cet immense bidonville.
Des témoins révèlent cependant que de nombreux clandestins ont essayé de rentrer dans la jungle dans l’attente de rejoindre l’île britannique, l’Eldorado mythique. Hier un clandestin iranien, qui avait vécu dans la jungle, a été secouru pendant qu’il essayait de traverser la Manche en kayak gonflable. Il était à environ 13 km des côtes anglaises, à mi-parcours. L’homme, d’environ 30 ans, a fait une demande d’asile aussitôt après être monté à bord du ferry britannique l’ayant recueilli.
Il s’agit de la première tentative de ce genre… certainement pas la dernière !
