C’est clairement mon illustration la plus ambitieuse à ce jour.
J’ai bien cru ne jamais arriver au bout 😉
Le visage en particulier a été refait plusieurs fois avant de trouver un équilibre entre visage juvénile/féminin et visage guerrier.
J’espère avoir trouvé un compromis noble… je voulais que la représentation de Sainte Jeanne d’Arc soit puissante et évoque subtilement les Gilets Jaunes.
La peinture finale a été réalisée à l’Acrylique, format A3.
La composition de l’image :
– Les lignes directrices (lance et épée) ainsi que les regards de Jeanne et de l’oiseau perché sur son épaule mènent vers un même point, hors cadre : Dieu / la Providence.
– Les 4 oiseaux en spirale autour de Jeanne sont liés de telle sorte qu’il pourrait s’agir d’un seul et même oiseau: en premier lieu l’oiseau en bas à droite s’incline devant l’épée de Jeanne, puis s’envole (oiseau au premier plan), tourne autour de Jeanne et fini par se poser sur son épaule en souriant.
– Ainsi, les oiseaux/Gilets Jaunes, perdus aux pieds de Jeanne, retrouvent du sens à leur cause en s’élevant spirituellement…
