Fondateur du Front National et président d’honneur du parti politique, Jean-Marie Le Pen s’oppose au changement de nom du mouvement voulu par certains, dont le vice-président Florian Philippot.
Par une de ses formules ironiques dont il a le secret, il explique au Figaro que
« Le changement de nom, c’est comme le changement du climat, c’est bidon ».
Jean-Marie Le Pen dont les relations avec sa fille Marine, qu’il a pourtant propulsée à la présidence du parti, ne sont pas au beau fixe, révèle les graves dysfonctionnements actuels au sein du parti patriote :
« J’observe un certain nombre de failles, y compris sur le plan technique puisqu’il y a eu des problèmes d’affiches et de bulletins de vote». «Je constate, ajoute-t-il, que le Front national est probablement le seul parti politique au monde qui n’a pas de journal.» «Quant à la pensée politique, déclare-t-il, si Marine quitte le terrain de l’euro, sans doute se privera-t-elle des services de monsieur Philippot. Mais cela peut se faire dans le cadre d’un congrès».
La refondation du parti, dans le but de poursuivre la dédiabolisation activée par Philippot, ce sera donc sans son soutien !
