Jean Lassalle, c’est ce député qui pendant plusieurs mois a fait le tour de la France pour être au plus près des gens et recueillir leurs observations. Il était là pour écouter et faire une compilation de toutes les remarques au travers d’un rapport qu’il a remis au Président de la République et aux hautes autorités françaises. Tout au long de ce parcours, dans les interviews, il a mis en garde les politiques, mettant en avant le sentiment d’exaspération des Français et l’écart qui se creuse entre le peuple et les élus.
Cette fois-ci le député a annoncé se lancer dans un tour d’Europe « pour prolonger cette démarche passionnante ». Il est parti de Londres le 3 mai et il compte se rendre dans une douzaine d’autres pays : Irlande, Espagne, Italie, Portugal, Allemagne, Belgique, Pays- Bas, Danemark, Roumanie, République Tchèque, Grèce, et Pologne. Mais cette fois-ci, ce ne sera pas à pied mais en voiture,en train ou en avion. Il compte profiter de la campagne électorale européenne pour recueillir des témoignages.
Le député veut une fois de plus se montrer à l’écoute des citoyens. Il s’est dit disposé à rencontrer ceux qui le voulaient:« Il me serait très utile de recevoir votre opinion, votre point de vue, votre vision de notre Europe d’aujourd’hui et de son avenir. » Après les Français, ce seront donc les Européens qui pourront rencontrer le député marcheur.
