Combien de politiciens payent-ils de leur poche les costumes de luxe qu’ils portent ? On peut se poser la question au vu de nouvelles révélations sur le sujet. Souvenez-vous de l’histoire des costumes offerts à François Fillon. L’affaire, a priori secondaire, était venue perturber la campagne d’un François Fillon pour la présidence de la république, préparant le terrain à un travail de sape l’obligeant à se retirer de la course à l’Elysée.
Pourtant, les montants concernant les costumes offerts à Fillon étaient dérisoires (13.000 euros, tout est relatif) en comparaison des près de 600.000 euros de costumes offerts en quinze ans à Jack Lang par le patron de la maison Smalto.
C’est Le Canard enchaîné qui, ici encore, dévoile les étonnantes habitudes vestimentaires du monde politique. Les cadeaux faits à Jack Lang auraient été découverts par la brigade financière lors d’une perquisition des bureaux d’Alain Duménil, propriétaire de Smalto.
Maître Laurent Merlet, avocat de Jack Lang, n’y voit aucun problème car son client serait « un ambassadeur de la mode depuis de nombreuses années ». Les cadeaux vestimentaires auraient été offerts de 2003 à 2018.

Trêve de plaisanterie, nos lecteurs se souviendront aussi que Jack Lang, ancien ministre socialiste reconverti en président de l’Institut du Monde Arabe, en avait déjà profité pour habilement et abusivement négocier de manger à l’œil, sur une base forfaitaire gargantuesque, au restaurant situé à l’intérieur de l’Institut.
Voilà donc un socialiste dont il est rare de voir la couleur du portefeuille !
