Manifester sa colère et son indignation, avec force, porte parfois des fruits !
Après les vigoureuses manifestations de vendredi dernier de chrétiens choqués par cette sculpture blasphématoire et une requête déposée par les dirigeants chrétiens auprès du tribunal de Haïfa afin d’obtenir son retrait, la municipalité de Haïfa en Israël a finalement décidé de retirer l’œuvre du pseudo-artiste finlandais Jani Leilonen, représentant une figure de l’enseigne McDonald’s crucifiée et intitulée ‘McJesus’.
Einat Kalisch Rotem, maire de Haïfa, a annoncé qu’elle serait retirée « dès que possible » du musée d’art où elle est présentée depuis le mois d’août 2018 dans le cadre d’une exposition qui traite du rapport entre la religion et le consumérisme.
Wadie Abou Nassar, porte-parole des Églises de Terre Sainte, avait dénoncé cette exposition comme étant « un affront » pour les Arabes et les chrétiens.
