Lors du débat au Parlement européen le 14 février 2017 sur la situation à la Cisjordanie et des colonies, Marie-Christine Arnautu a rappelé que
« l’État israélien viole depuis des années le droit international en occupant et en colonisant les territoires palestiniens, ce qu’a rappelé la résolution du Conseil de sécurité de l’ONU en décembre dernier de façon très claire. »
Si Israël a droit à sa sécurité, le peuple palestinien a droit à sa souveraineté. La seule solution viable est donc celle de deux États souverains avec des frontières sûres et reconnues. Elle est nécessaire à la lutte contre le terrorisme islamique.
