L’Observateur Russe : Que pensez-vous de la crise migratoire actuelle ?
Cardinal Burke : Cette question de la migration vers l’Europe ou les États-Unis est à envisager sous l’angle d’une volonté de repopulation des nations occidentales avec celles du Moyen-Orient qui sont, en grande partie, musulmanes. Avec cette crise, la population des musulmans en France, en Allemagne ou encore aux États-Unis va beaucoup augmenter. Il y a quelques années, j’étais l’archevêque de Saint Louis (État du Missouri). On m’a dit dernièrement que quelques milliers de personnes allaient être accueillies dans la ville. Un prêtre m’a confirmé qu’il a pu constater une hausse de la population musulmane.L’Observateur Russe : Quelle serait l’évolution ou l’impact de cette crise dans le monde ?
Cardinal Burke : Je pense que cette vague de migrants, parmi lesquels sont présents de nombreux musulmans, peut représenter un vrai danger pour les chrétiens, car, il ne faut pas l’oublier, l’Islam n’est pas d’abord une religion, mais un système politique.
