Le 23 octobre 1983 à 6h30 du matin, un double attentat frappe la Force multinationale de sécurité à Beyrouth. En quelques secondes, 241 marines américains et 58 parachutistes français sont tués. Le poste Drakkar, occupés par les paras du 1er RCP, vient de subir la frappe la plus terrible contre l’armée française depuis les affrontements de la décolonisation et qui depuis n’a pas son équivalent malgré l’embuscade d’Uzbin. N’oublions pas ces morts et leurs familles !
