Aujourd’hui 22 novembre 2016, Manuel Valls est venu au secours d’un président de la République pris dans la tourmente. François Hollande est en effet accusé d’avoir divulgué à la presse des documents « secret défense » concernant un projet d’attaque en Syrie.
Interrogé à l’Assemblée Nationale par le député Les Républicains Georges Fenech sur une possible destitution du chef de l’État, le premier ministre l’a joué Il faut sauver le soldat Hollande !
« Je n’admets pas […] que l’on se prête une nouvelle fois, ici dans vos rangs, à la mise en cause délibérée et systématique du chef de l’État, de sa personne et donc des institutions », a déclaré M. Valls. « Le président de la République est le chef de l’État, élu par les Français, par le suffrage universel et cela, que vous le vouliez ou non« .
